I've been thinking about the two women who were hit early Sunday morning. Does anyone know if they are ok? Were they able to complete the walk? Each seemed to be nursing an arm injury.

Like many of you, I've been affected by both breast cancer, my Mom is a Survivor and my inspiration. And my family has been affected by Leukemia, and Lymphoma, My father passed away of Leukemia, and my mothers "gentleman friend" just went into remission from Lymphoma. Needless to say, 3...

and found out that training for a 60K walk is worth nothing on the elliptical... phew, gonna take me some time to build up endurance for that thing.

Does anyone else feel like the weekend has come and gone WAY TOO quickly? I wish there was another event so I could help crew or something. (Another note: I was just on the endcancer.ca website reading everyone's 'stories'. And if you haven't already, please take the time to read them. They're so tou...

Hey has anyone else noticed anything about the final t-shirts we were given as survivors. Mine does not say I walked to support Princess Margaret Hospital but St. Vincent Foundation. I don't even know where that is. I am not impressed and will be contacting the WETEWC organizers. Just thought I would...

The biggest negative for me had nothing to do with the organization of the event, but was the garbage people left along the route. It was disgusting. I was embarassed to be a part of an event where supposedly intelligent adults dropped their litter anywhere and everywhere. I don't know how the orga...

OK... I thought I would start a thread on the things that people who stay in the little blue tents find indispensable for their overnight stay at camp. My 10 top items are: (1) Obusform sleeping mattress. It self inflates on its own (and you can add a little air by blowing into it). (2) Ultralightweight s...

Just wanted to know what was everyone's single best memory of this year's walk. My best memory was the clever idea of a few neighborhood children who, on day one, came out and asked us to sign the road with colored chalk - The road was literally covered when I got there. I saw so many smiling faces...

Hi I just wanted to send out a Big Thank You to Lesley and Sheona for allowing me to join them as we walked on Saturday. I started with a group of ladies and lost them within the first 10 mins. On day 2 I lost Lesley at the 2nd stop as I took the sweep van. However along the way I met with other groups and had some lo...

I don't know about everyone else but I would like to go back to the early start time. To me it seemed most people where there early and we had to wait to get started. I know I would rather get started early and try to finish at a time where I can have some time to do things at camp rest, get a massage and shower wi...

I have walked 7 times, and each time wore shorts and a tank top, with a rain poncho if necessary. Never anything heavier, although one year I wore an old hoodie @ opening ceremonies, ditched it, and then found it in the lost and found at the end. In any case, with the weather forecast being so so... I can't...

I'm a first time walker and was wondering if anyone knows if the closing ceremonies are held inside or outside?

Does anyone know how to charge your i-pod without a computer or access to the car that will be parked at the DEC?

Randy- Think Pink Direct · Randy- Think Pink Direct

I am so thrilled to once again be part of Team Trade Secrets. We are going to have a fabulous pit stop this year. For those of you who were there last year, remember how much fun it was at lunch. This year, we'll be the pit stop after lunch, so make sure not to walk right by as there will be special surprises...

Now we are all hoping for bright skies and dry days but PLEASE think of being ready in case it does rain. Please, can we remind ourselves WHY we are walking and for WHOM we are walkiing?! Anyone else not get their tent assignment when they received their walking package? We are suppose to be tenting, yet no information in the packet this year...thoughts?

HooterHero · HooterHero

This is my first year doing the walk and I am SO EXCITED!!!! My parents will be at the CNE to welcome me back and I was wondering where my parents can wait to meet me and if there is a BBQ (I think I heard something about a dinner) are they welcome to join in? Thanks!!!

Hi, this is my first year walking and I am wondering what the parking situation is like. I think it is at Downsview Park where we camp, but I don't know any details. Where does the walk start? If not at Downsview, how do we get there from parking? Thanks! Alaina
