What to wear?

I have walked 7 times, and each time wore shorts and a tank top, with a rain poncho if necessary.  Never anything heavier, although one year I wore an old hoodie @ opening ceremonies, ditched it, and then found it in the lost and found at the end.

In any case, with the weather forecast being so so... I can't decide what to wear.  Capris rather than shorts?  A jacket or extra layer that will end up around my waist when I get hot?

I'm 49, so at that age that I get hot and have a hard time cooling down... I don't want to overdress.

I always have worn capris, except the first year I wore light yoga pants and it rained and I was soaked up to my knees from the pant legs dragging on the wet ground.

I also always take a light jacket, because I find it cool by the water and in the morning.

I pretty much outfit myself in lululemon ;p It's my excuse to shop there.

I'm planning on wearing shorts with a short sleeved shirt to start and will bring a tank top in my sling pack. Once we get walking we'll warm up. For Day 2 it's looking like rain in the forecast but I'm still wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt with a rain poncho over top. I think the main thing is to stay dry because once you get wet, you also get cold. I'm going to keep some long track pants and a sweatshirt in my car for the end of Day 2 and, if necessary, change into them before Closing Ceremonies.

Julie,
I have my pink ball cap, a dry wick short sleeved shirt and I am going to stick with my shorts, as I too get hot and then cannot cool down. I have a light weight windbreaker hoodie my Mom picked up for me last year that I did not need to wear, I can tie it around my waist and it should not bug me too much. I am hoping that my legs do not get too cold, but would rather be chilly on the legs than be carrying a heavy pair of walking pants that are making me hot!
I think I will carry a rain poncho this year as well.
Hope this helps...

I am sure this came from Randy she said go to goodwill or one of those places pick up a couple of warm things to wear for each day and when get to hot leave on park bench whith hope someone that needs it will pick up. I have done this think it is great idea you don't have to carry all day.
Good luck to all

I always dress warm, since I'm always cold. I wear full length leggings, a t-shirt, a light sweater and my big fluffy pink skirt. :) As mentioned, go to Goodwill and get something you don't care about, then leave it somewhere when you don't need it.
I have the luck that every year my Mom and Dad are driving around for all of both days, so I'm able to ditch my sweater in the jeep. My Mom is walking this year, but my Dad and Husband will be driving around.

Hey Ashley,
I told him to make sure he wears the T-shirt, so if you see him, you'll know it's him!! They'll be travelling around in a red jeep, with the top down (well, look for him on Saturday. since Sunday they'll probably have the top up) :) And yes, give him trouble!!!
I'm asking him to do a bit of video this time, so hopefully he'll remember the camera. lol

See you tomorrow Ashley!!! Oh, and I have two different colours of pink dye, so you should be able to find me. :)

too funny Terry! I always go to Valu Village or Goodwill, and buy a $3 thowaway long sleeve hoodie before every race/run or walk!.

For tomorrow...it will be chilly in the morning, but nicer as the days goes on.
I think for sure I'm bringing a rain poncho for Sunday.

I think I'll wear run Capris and I'll be wearing my Team Trade Secrets shirt.

If anyone forgets thier hats, or needs a rain poncho, RIchard and my girls will be at pit stop #3 with lots of them, the hats are $10 for cotton, and $15 for wicking material. Pink ribbon ponchos will also be available.

Lots of pins, bracelets, necklaces, keychains, cinch bags, pens and others stuff for $5
silicone bands, shoelaces, plus some other goodies $2
flip flops, stainless waterbottles $10
tattoes 10 for $5
I can't even remember what else is in the bag!

please bring cash or a cheque, as I don't take debit/credit

see ya all tomorrow!
