On August 1, I signed up on line ( I have my confirmation number) for the early bird registration for 2012. At that time I did not take advantage of the special "donate $100. and recieve a $100. credit". Saturday morning I went to the registration tent and picked up my tshirt for 2012. I asked if I could still do the self donatoin for next year and since I did not have a credit card with me I was told if I did it on line before the end of the night I would qualify.
As soon as I arrived home I came on line and could not find my name as a registered walker for 2012. After about the third time I got a page that said "if you are NOT (my name) click here, so I thought I had finally gotten to my home page. I made the self donaton only to find out after I made the donation that it did not go to me.
So, now I've done the early registeration and not showing up as being registered, I made the $100. donaton and then recieved an email from the Weekend to End Women's Cancers that states, "Thank you for supporting one of our participants"
The offices for the walk are now closed. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can straighten this out?
That's what I thought would be the best thing to do, so I phoned first thing this morning and the recording said the offices are now closed for this event. So, I have no idea who, or how to contact anyone.
I'm sure the office is closed today and probably tomorrow. Don't worry, they will be back and running by the end of the week. The staff were all out working this weekend, so they probably all have a few days off!
I registered at camp and did not have my credit card with me. I called the office yesterday and was told I had until the end of the week to self donate. Make sure you have your name down as the donator so it matches with the name on the registration so they know that you made the donation. Then you will receive the credit. Hope that helps.
