I just got my first tag day at the lcbo, my first tag day anywhere ever, and now I'm wondering what my next steps are? ANY tips you have would be very much appreciated. Also, I have to purchase liability insurance and I haven't checked with my insurance company yet, but does anyone know if all insurance companies offer it or are there only certain companies that do?
I did my first LCBO day last year and didn't purchase any insurance didn't know I had to - this is new to me - when you find information out can you please let me know, I have two days this year.
Last year I set up all the items I was selling, had a donation jar and gave everyone who stopped by a pink ribbon (very inexpensive through ThinkPink)
i've been asked to get liability insurance too, for a tagday in june. can one get liability insurance for 4 hours??? did you manage it, please let me know
I contacted a broker in my area and they were able to get me insurance for $100. Its alot of money, but I figure I will give it a try and if its not worth the cost then I know not to do it again. The broker said it costs so much because they dont have a category for tag days and basically I got grouped in with people doing full day fundraisers at a larger venue, etc. My tag day is next weekend so I`ll let you know how it goes.
