On July 24, we drove from Brampton to Bloor and Runnymede for our tag day, only to find someone else was already there fund raising. Apparently the location was double booked. We couldn't both stay and since we were the second to arrive, we left. This was a huge let down , not just because we really needed this tag day but it's the seond time it's happened!! In June we were assigned to have a tag day at this same location and when we arrived a group fund raising for leukemi was there. Now we've lost BOTH our tag days at the LCBO

So sorry this has happened to you, not just once, but twice! Have you tried to approach a busy Shopper's Drug Mart to see if you can do a tag day there? We are doing one in Barrie in a couple of weeks. Also, places like Sobeys, some WalMarts, etc will allow you to do tag days...and I can imagine they are quite successful as well. We have pretty much given up on doing tag days at the LCBO because they are so hard to get, so we have been investigating other venues. Good luck with your fundraising!
Thanks for the suggestions. We've been doing tag days for seven years and this is the first time we've ever had a location double booked. It was a tough blow, but we couldn't believe it happened to us twice!! We managed to go to a Metro this afternoon, however when you factor in the time it took us to get to Toronto, back to Brampton and find a grocery store willing to help at the last minute we lost about two hours of fund raising time. We only made about 30% of what we usually make at the LCBO. We'll keep working at it.
