Tag day mix up

This is our 7th year fund raising. After initianlly being  turned down by the LCBO  they finally gave us a few tag days. We said we'd drive anywhere. It did not have to be local.
Our first tag day was June 11. We drove from Brampton  to Bloor St. West. When we arrived we found that someone else had already set up a table and were  busy fund raising (not WEWC). We both had our letters of permission to fund raise in front of that particular LCBO on that day.  We  also had a second tag day scheduled at the same location, as did they.  The manager did not know what to do. We knew we could not both stand in front of the LBCO and ask for donations. Since the other people had  already set up, we agreed to leave and they said they would not show up for the second tag day that we both were given so we'd at least have one tag day.

I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else.  It's the first time it's ever happened to us.
We lost a tag day that we desperately needed.no

it did happen to me before, but both of us were booked for 1 day only. And we ended up both fund raising. Which seemed kind of nuts to me and still does. My teammate and I were asking every person who entered the store if they'd like to donate, while the the people supporting the other charity just sat there, so we made a killing I suspect they didn't raise much at all. Which made me feel bad, but what can you do? :\
