"We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us -- how we can take it, what we do with it -- and that is what really counts in the end."
-- Joseph Fort Newton
A tag day is when you stand in front of a store, offering ribbons and asking for donations. Simple, easy way to raise money. LCBO, some grocery stores, Walmart are all places to try to get tag days set up. Just take in your participant letter and ask the manager. Be sure to wear your t-shirt, or pink stuff, take lots of ribbons and anything else you are going to hand out at your tag day. Lots of water, sunscreen and comfortable shoes are a must.
It helps to have a second person with you, so you can go to the bathroom, and get food too. My daughter and I did a tag day at a local LCBO and raised $1100 in one day. The key is to stay there ALL day, from the time it opens to when it closes.
