After seven years of doing tag days at the LBCO we have just found out that our request this year has been denied. Half of the money we've raised has come from tag days, so this news has thrown us for a loop. If anyone has a tag day or two they do not need, we'd appreciate
Sorry to hear that LCBO denied you. I do tag days at Walmart and grocery stores, If you can do a Walmart ask them to match so far for this walk 2 walmarts, 4 days and I have with matching over $2,000. They didn't want me to sell anything so I would try them first. But rember to ask them if match or they don't so I am told. Good luck
Our team is down to two walkers, so tag days were productive and required very little preparation. We've tried our local Walmart in the past and were not successful, but it's worth trying again. Thanks Terry
The best tag day I've held so far was at a No Frills grocery store in a small town. We made about 2x what we raised at our LCBO days! It was a Saturday in July, we gave out ribbons. It's worth asking your local markets!
A tag day is when you stand in front of a store, offering ribbons and asking for donations. Simple, easy way to raise money. LCBO, some grocery stores, Walmart are all places to try to get tag days set up. Just take in your participant letter and ask the manager. Be sure to wear your t-shirt, or pink stuff, take lots of ribbons and anything else you are going to hand out at your tag day. Lots of water, sunscreen and comfortable shoes are a must.
