Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know I was truely blessed last weekend to help so many people. As the driver of my Tender Tootsie Taxi we spent alot of time thinking of our " gimic" and the impact it would have. Come sunday morning I wish I had new slippers for all the people who we convinced and some "coerced" into jumping in with us even the girls from Country 95.3 and their girl who was so sad and mad but I think I made a pal for life..nothing like stripping at closing ceremonies to change tshirts lol...ladies...... WHISTLE WHISTLE....... The whole weekend ...what a great experience and boy did we cry and laugh and cry some more. To hear the ladies in the van who were shuttled about, we knew we were all doing our job!!!!! The people we met were great and I hope we made it clear how proud we were of every single walker. My partner Danielle and I are both vetran walkers and this year we knew we had to be involved and I convinced my husband to join moto crew so it was truely a family event. The amount of work the captains do for all of this volunteer work makes me very proud to wear my crew shirt and on saturday night as my guy and I wandered about and stretched our legs and took it all in we both agreed we would sign up and do it all again. See you all again in 2010.......
The sweep mobiles were terrific! Although I did not get an up close personal look inside, your smiles, clapping, clappers, horns, and most of all your music made it a great time!
All I can say is God Bless the Sweepers! They encourage and watch over us and are there when we need them. Thank you for your dedication. And your music; it gets those tired feet moving.
