For those of you who know Chad no introduction is necessary. For those that don't let me tell you a bit about this wonderfully generous, courageous man.
Chad is one of the most caring, inspirational, and giving individuals I have had the pleasure to know. He first walked in the Weekend to End Breast Cancer in 2003 in Toronto in memory of his mother-in-law who had passed away from breast cancer. After that amazing experience he continued to walk in every city as they were added over the years. He has met some equally amazing women some of which have fought and won and a few who unfortunately were unable to beat this horrible disease. 7 years and 35 walks later 2009 will be his last year... at least for now. You see Chad is now fighting his own personal battle with Cancer and will focus on his treatment and recovery after the final walk in September of 2009.
I met Chad a few years ago at my first walk and he inspired me to do more, last year I walked in 4 cities with him. Each one very different from the other but each comprised of like minded participants all working towards the same ultimate goal to end breast cancer now all woman's cancers. In each city I shared the same emotions and feelings you only get when you participate in something as epic as this. For those that have never done it, its hard to imagine, for those that have you know what I am talking about.
I feel honored that Chad would ask me to carry his torch and walk for him in 2010 in all 6 cities. He has also challenged me to find 34 walkers to join me in each city to represent each of the walks he completed. I have accepted the challenge and even though I know it will be difficult I will do my utmost to make this happen. At this time I have registered and created a team in each and every city. We are the Butterfly of Hope if you would like to join me please contact the office or follow the link from my personal page.
Please join me.

I just tried to contact you via Facebook, but I'm not comfortable using it so did not give my email address.
I'd be honoured to join your team in Toronto 2010. I am already registered. I walked as an individual in 2007, formed a 3 person team in 2008, which grew to 9 for 2009.
I read about this plan last week then met you briefly last weekend at a traffic stop, where Chad mentioned this goal. I thought about it all day & the next day a cameraman was interviewing me & asking about next year, & I said I was going to join your team. I didn't realize I had made the decision until the words came out of my mouth.
Hey Louise... I looking forward to Walking In Ottawa and Toronto along side you and Paul to bring Chad's dream to fruition. Im proud to be part of Butterfly of Hope next year...and know Im leaving my own team in good hands with my best friend debbie as Team Captain. Ive been totally exhausted for some reason this week...and its taking me a bit long to recoupe than usual...but is worth every sore muscle and blister I earned. hugs Landis
When you return home from you awesome trip you'll see that my sister WILL be walking with me this year in TORONTO for the BUTTERFLY of HOPE team..... Hugs.
