PROPER CLOTHING

Hi All,

First let me wish you all a successful and healthy walk. This is my first year, and I am still undecided as what to wear for the walk. I have been using everyday clothes for training, capris in hot weather, rain pants if needed and jeans/long pants when it was cold in the early training stages.

I have heard of many things people wear. I am just wondering what works best in all kinds of weather. I need to get something this week to wear or go to the old standbye of capris as the weather is looking great. Good luck to all and thanks for your help over the last few months.

Just don't wear cotton! :)

I wear those yoga/work out capris (rain, or shine) with either a tank top or tshirt with the material being that sports wear (wicking material) so you can breathe and the sweat doesn't stick to your body (and it stays dry).

I also carry a poncho in my fanny pack for if it rains along with an extra pair of socks to change at lunch.

With the poor weather forecast, I plan on wearing lululemon carpis both days with leg warmers in my backpack in case my calves get cold.

I wore pants in the rain before and the rain soaked up the pants from the ground almost to my knees!

Exactly - that's why I wear the capris too ! I don't need my pants to get soaked (and never dry) during the walk :)
