Notifications


Hey all,

Has anyone else notice they aren't receiving "You've received a donation" e-mail from the office?

My good friend donated $150 to me three weeks ago and I didn't realize until I randomly checked my account. (It also wasn't updated on my facebook application that I downloaded from WEBC).

Anyone else experience this ??

I had that happen too! My friend donated the first week of June, and I just happened to be checking my progress and found out. It makes it very difficult to send thank yous!

That is exactly how I felt.
This is the first year this friend of mine donated to me (reason why it was such a large amount) and I felt like such an a$$ not thanking her right away....especially because we were together last week! haha

Anyways, I hope things get fixed because it's hard enough in this economy to ask people for 'extra' money, so when they do, they deserve a huge thank you as soon as possible.

That's strange, I haven't had that problem. I have mine linked up to my Hotmail, which I'm never on, so I usually just quickly check the WEBC site every day at lunch time. I've received 2 donations, so I logged on to hotmail and the emails were there. I was also on facebook last night and saw the donation on there from yesterday.

Very strange that it's happening to some, but not all of us????

This has been a brutal year getting my donations posted... I mailed donations in May 5, they were FINALLY processed on June 15... they still have not been posted on my website. No sense in emailing as its a repeat answer I count on friends for support and 2 months later there is still no sign of their names on my website..nor have i been given the credit for them... very frustrating....
This is my 4th year, its never been like this before, not sure what would happen if the walker numbers where as high as they wish they were...

I think I've solved the notifications mystery. There is a on/off button at the bottom on the very right of your personal page. Mine was off. Oops!

Nicole, what's interesting is that when I started my 2009 fundraising, I received notifications and then just with my latest donation, I didn't. I took your advice and looked to see what my notifications were set at - they were off.

Very strange to me because I did, late last year receive notifications once someone donated to me.

Anyways, hopefully the problem is solved :)

It seems to me that the donations that are sent through using VISA, Mastercard or American Express have a notification through my e-mail, but any donations that are sent in via cheques are not acknowledged through e-mail.

Yah see my donation was sent through VISA.
It might have just been a glitch...we'll see :)

I have 2 donations posted so far - one I received notification for - the other one I didn't - the second one was a cheque that was mailed in June 9 and got posted on July 10 (and was split evenly to all the walkers on our team). Today I will be posting donations for everyone my team from our golf tournament - hopefully there will be notifications for those - some are personal donations the others will be lump sums from the proceeds.
