Help me with fund raising!!!

Hey Everyone,

I know it seems like everyone asks the same question in one form or another, but I need help fundraising.  I have asked all my family (who have contributed but I have a small family) I did a tag day at the LCBO and got $300....I even gave away cute little pink ribbons and everything.  I have exhausted my efforts - I did a garage sale - all the things I read would help...then I log onto the home page and see people at like $80,000! I know I will not reach that goal - but I would like to get to my $2000 without having to sponsor myself as that seems a little silly.

Any ideas of what I could do would be amazing - or if anyone knows corporations that sponsor in exchange for advertising or what not?? Anything at this point would be amazing!!

Thanks guys :)

Hi Jen,
Check out the Fundraising Tips Forum. There are some great ideas there.
Cheers,

How many people were at the tag day? There is power in numbers . . . Try setting up another one at a grocery store. We have never made less than $1000 when there is a group of us.

I agree! Try to set up a couple more tag days! I was at the LCBO in the cold and wet weather last weekend and in 3 hours raised $400. I only stopped because it started raining really hard and no one was coming.

You have to speak to every single person, either going in or going out. Most people are really nice and donate a few dollars. It's difficult for me, I'm not really that outgoing, but I just keep in mind what a great cause it is...and it makes it easier.

Keep trying, don't give up! You still have time to raise the $$, you may need to get creative. My team and I are going to a Farmer's Market, armed with lots of baking and our "pink" stuff.

Hi
Try a walmart and if you get one ask if they will match what you make, they told me you have to ask or they don't but that may not be all of them but worth the try.
Good luck
