How do I obtain a POS for silent auction?????

I am having a dinner dance with silent auction and I need a POS (point of sale) machine. I've called the Merchant Business and they want close to $300.00 for 1 night!
That's crazy.
Does anyone know  where I can find one that is donated or very cheap.

Hey Lori!

When/where is your dance?? My husband has an ATM business and dabbles a bit in the POS side of things. Maybe he can help?? I will let you know!!

I checked with thte hubby, but unfortunately he does not have a terminal and can't help you out. Sorry!! You never know unless you ask!!

Hi, My fundraiser is at Julius Banquet Centre (Arrow Rd & Finch Ave) very near the 400.

When we did this we just used the donation forms as the payment...they filled them out with the contact info and could use VISA or cheque...this way they got a tax reciept for their donation and we didn't have to deal with any of the finances....I guess though you could be worried about the donations not going through for some reason....we didn't have any trouble though but I guess it was mostly family and friends
