Wait, we still have 7 more sleeps, so that means the weather can still change about 21 times before the weekend. I remember the first year, it was just after Hurricane Isobel. There was no rain, but the wind was blowing so hard up at Downsview while we were setting up camp it nearly took a few of the tents with it! lol. Then it calmed down and it turned out to be a good weekend. it was held later in September that first year, so it was kind of cold at night in the tents. Earlier in the month is better. I guess we will just have to wait till the day to see what the weather will be. Not too long now!
I still have some pink ribbon rain ponchos, and I will make sure to pack some for to bring for the table at Think Pink DIrect at Pit stop #3 on Day one (which is after lunch) You can see pictures of them on my website on the Value page.

Still calling for a little light rain overnight on Saturday. Hopefully that will change, or it may not rain where we are! That would be okay. Otherwise, it looks like almost perfect conditions. I can't believe it! Only three more sleeps!
I checked the weather forecast this morning and it said sunny on Saturday and sunny/cloudy on Sunday with a high of 20 both days. Sounds like PERFECT weather to me.
Sounds like good weather...now the debate...shorts or capris...I'm thinking capris will be safest. My friend and I are first time walkers and can't wait!!
If you wear capri's buy some body glide. That way if anything is rubbing, especially around the knees or calves, you can put it on and it will help reduce the chafing.
I also like to use Body Glide to prevent chafing from clothing - it is great stuff!
For my Crew role, it is my CHAMOIS BUTT'r that is a must have to avoid chafing in the saddle area (prevention of chafing in that region is akin to preventing blisters for a walker... oh so terribly critical for a happy time on Day 2... ).

Thanks for all the great advice! I have my body glide packed that we received at the Weekend Extravaganza at PMH way back when. Hard to believe the walk is so close - really looking forward to it!
