Cheapest place for good shoes?

I don't have any extra spending money, but I feel like the $20 Dr. Scholls shoes I have from Wal-Mart probably aren't going to cut it for the walk.

Where is the cheapest place to get good shoes, and how much do you think I will have to pay to get reasonably decent shoes.  I've been off work due to cancer for 2 years, so while $100 might seem affordable to some, it is very very expensive for me.

I'm so excited to be doing the walk and so happy to help raise money, I do wish I didn't have to spend money for it though.

Hi Sara

I'm not sure where you live, but there is a Running Room Outlet on North Queen St in Etobicoke ( http://www.runningroom.com/hm/inside.php?id=3601 ). They tend to have great quality shoes, and the prices are a lot lower than in their normal stores!

Good Luck! :)

Thanks so much for that link Amanda!

I sent them an email, and I thought I would paste the response I got here because it might help other people looking for good shoes on a budget. :

"Thanks for your inquiry. We do have shoes anywhere from 10%-80% off their regular price. The longer they are here, the more they are marked down. So if we have an appropriate shoe for you that is a couple years old it would be a big savings. That being said, running shoes are rather technical and only certain types of shoes will work for certain types of feet. So without knowing the model you are looking for or seeing your gait (the way your foot moves when you walk) I cant guarantee we have the right shoe for you, but if we do, you will be saving money.

I suggest trying on the newest models at your local running room and calling us to see the older version in your size.

Our phone number is 416-237-0303."

I'm certainly going to give them a try!

Thanks again :)
Sara

Hi Sara,

I have been buying my shoes from that outlet for years.
I usually end up spending between $60-$80 on a pair of shoes.
But it all depends on the style, brand and how long it has been at their location.

I highly suggest you check them out though.
