Fundrasing

This will be my 3rd year doing the walk. I always seem to have a little trouble with the fundraising but manage to meet the goal. How does one go about setting up these Pub nights and Bus trips.

Hi
I don't do Pub nights or bust trips but tag days at Walmart, LCBO and other grocery stores. If you do a Walmart ask and they might match what you make but you do have to ask.
Good Luck
Terry

I have held very sucessful Pub Crawl Fundrasiers

- First I contact the bus and confirm a date (usually a Saturday night)
-choose the time frame 5 p.m.-12:20 a.m.
-call several bars book times, including the bar you eat dinner at, usually the second bar before people get too many drinks in them.
-print up tickets on the computer
-sell tickets for $20-$25 a piece for the bus ride (school buses hold 54 people)
-Last year we had a prize for the person who wore the most pink..one for the guys and one for the girls.  GREAT response to this!!
-We have two pick up spots at 5 p.m. and the trip home always makes sure everyone is dropped off at their door or very close to it.

We've had bars in the past donated to the cause, but not a huge response to this.

During the bus ride we play games, like breast triva (fun stuff, pluss good facts)
Raffles, last year we used a deck of pink ribbon cards..taped them down to bristol board flipped over and had people pay $5 to own a card and sign their name to the back of if.  The two Jokers one a prize...one was a gift certificate to one of the bars we went to (donated) and the second prize was half the pot (which the winner donated right back to us!).

One team mate made "boob" cupcakes..very cute..and we also had jello and pudding shooters to hand out to make it even more fun.

At the end of the night the bus driver donated his tip money and the bus lines gave us a nice reductcion on the cost of the bus.

all in all we made $1200 that night!!

Local one in our hometown.  You'd have to call around in your own area and see if any bus lines would give you a deal.
