2010 Registration

I just received the package in the mail with my credential etc. (I did the online check in before the deadline) and I just read that if I wanted to join for 2010, I can pick up my t-shirt (the dry fit ones) on Saturday BEFORE the walk. GRRR - am I supposed to do the whole walk carrying a t-shirt?!

Anyone else think of this ? :(

(I know we all have tons of breast cancer shirts but it's the dry fit ones!! That makes a huge difference) hahaha

I too received my credentials today and my sheet to early registration for 2010, and yes, Ashley I read it that way as well.  I am not carrying my shirt all day...UGH!  I was thinking of emailing my walking coach to ask if it is correct...thoughts?

I'm thinking you do it end of day (and carry the piece of paper with you all day).

So I guess we're all signing up for yet another year?!

Julie, of course we're signing up again :P

And yes, that would make sense to carry the sign up sheet all day and collect the shirt after day one was over but we'll see what actually happens.
I know last year, people who waited to sign up, lost out on the shirts so I wouldn't be surprised if they allowed people to sign up before day one and after day one.

I just called the office to ask about a couple of things and found out that yes, the 2010 registration is open Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon (after day 1) and again at the end of the walk - so I would assume all weekend.
Heidi suggested that if someone wanted to sign up for the 2010 walk (and wants to collect a shirt), do so before you put your bag in the trucks (if you're tenting). Otherwise, for us who aren't tenting, we'd have to wait until the end of day 1 (Saturday) to sign up and gather your shirt.

Any of you that are signing up again, please consider joining my team

I am walking on behalf of Chad next year across Canada all 6 cities. He has challenged me to get 34 other walkers to join me in each city to represent the 35 walks he will have completed by the end of this weekend.

Please join me and help me make Chad's dream come true.

Butterfly of Hope is the team, please ensure it is singular and not plural as there is another team. Best bet, find me first then join my team.

If you have already registered during your online check-in just call the office and have them put you over.

Look forward to seeing you all this weekend. Watch for Paul, Chad and I!!!

You can register at camp. As soon as you arrive at camp come and see me at the Team 2010 tent. I will be wearing a Believe baseball hat.

When I did the online checkin I actually signed up for next year then..... Which I thought was a great idea, to avoid the lines, but now I don't know how I'm supposed to get my t-shirt. I'm going to look at what I printed out and maybe just bring the print out with me. :)

Noreen,

I called the office and told them I would just bring my printed confirmation of next years registration to pick up my shirt and they said that was fine.

That's so weird-  When I did the online check in, it asked if I was going to register for the 2010 and I said yes, yet I still got the registration sign up sheet in the mail. Maybe I did something wrong.
Maybe I should call the office tomorrow to see, I wouldn't want to sign up twice.

Crystal,

If you have not completed your online check in for this year, it will offer it to you when you do.

Otherwise.

https://secure2.convio.net/cfca/site/TRR/Events/Toronto2010/2037106588?pg=ptype&fr_id=1440

Copy and past the above into your address line and it should work for you.

Thanks Louise, I have to remember to grab my print out tonight!

Ashley, I did register during the check in, but I also received the registration sheet in the mail with all my other stuff. They're probably pressed for time and just put the sheet in everyone's envelope.

Crystal, let's hope the line up isn't long, cause I know we both want to grab our shirts on Saturday morning! :)

Okay then I have a question.. how can I check and see if I have already registered for the 2010 walk?? Maybe I have... but it didn't ask for my money - credit card - so I don't think it went through.
I also just went onto the 2010 page and clicked "donate now" and did a name search and I didn't come up.
I think I'll have to sign up on walk day!

It asked me for my credit card, so if you didn't put a card number in, then you probably aren't registered.

Well, I just got home and checked on my desk and can't find my print out of the receipt to show I registered for next year.... :( Then I remembered that when I did the online check in, my printer was out of ink. I seem to have saved the screen shot showing I completed the online check in, but not the page that showed I registered.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!! I'd really like to get a shirt. :)

Noreen,

Go to the 2010 participant site and print off one your donation pages. That should suffice. If you have a participant number you obviously are registered.

Does anyone know if you still get this shirt if you sign up for Crew? I am thinking of doing that next year and help out in a different way

Yes, you do. T- shirts are not just for walkers. Or at least they didn't used to be and shouldn't be.
