I might be signing up to do this aswell, but I was wondering the same thing hahaha. My boyfriend is doing the ride for the first time this year (and I'm a first time walker) but I thought that would be a cool way to go and show my support...i guess we could make our own team if we need to lol.
I'm on Walkers on Bikes. We would love to have you joining our team. Chad Cieslik was the team Captain for 2 years. This years team captain is Joesph Calderone. I'm also crewing next year. I will be registering people for 2011.

I walked in 2005-2007. I crewed at the 2008 Ride to Conquer Cancer & The Weekend to End Breast Cancer Walk 2008. This year I will be TEAM 2010 booth. They give you 3 choices the sooner you fill out the forms and send it back to them the better. Come and say hi this weekend.

Ashley The team Walkers on Bikes is Chad's team. It is comprised of both riders and crew members.
I was pit stop captain the first year when Paul rode with Chad.
Keep in mind there are not as many stops as on the walk. Every 25k as opposed to every 3-4 k. The pit stop was made up of both crew and volunteers. But mostly crew as they need to comitt to the entire weekend where as volunteers sometimes only show for 1 day or a portion of the day.
I may consider joining again for next year but will see, it will depend on how my fundraising is going with the walks across Canada. However if Paul joins Joseph Calderone with the Walkers on Bikes team I will still attend and volunteer so my funds can be directed to my walks.
Hope this answers some of your questions. Have fun with it .
See you Saturday!!!

hey! Hope you had an amazing weekend! I'm nursing some serious blisters, but it was SO worth it! Just wondering how the orientation went? Get any new info? I was just wondering if you heard anything about each team having a crew? Someone had told me that you could register as a crew member for a specific team and kinda lap around the route in your car with extra things the riders might need...this seemed like it might cause some unnecessary congestion to me, but if it is an option I'd like to do that.
Lisa: I didn't hear anything new. So I am going in blind. We'll see what happens but regardless it's going to be a great time. I met someone this weekend and I think I convienced her to crew with me too!! :)
I did medical crew for the 2008 Ride... and it was the reason that I joined up to ride for 2009.
Not sure what to say you should sign up to do, but I can tell you that every volunteer I talked to had an amazing time. It's beautiful being out in the country... whether you're volunteering or riding. Can not say enough good things... the volunteers are awesome!
