Good News! I just checked the weather again and now it looks clear for the weekend. Hurray!! All our good thoughts must have had an impact. See you all in 5 sleeps!
Lol, I checked it on Sunday and it said rain both day, then I checked Monday and it said sunny both days. This morning (Tuesday) it's saying rain Saturday and possibly Sunday.... I'm going even crazier with my hair this year and will not be happy if it's hidden under a rain poncho again!!!! I hope there's not a repeat of the weather on Sunday last year!
Let's all keep our fingers crossed.....

2011 will be my sixth year walking, but it will be Ottawa this year.
Last years weather was DISGUSTING !! I hope that doesn't happen again. I am NOT checking the weather until the night before (Friday night) because it will continue to change through out the week.
I am in total agreement with you. The rain/shine just gets me in a "oh no! not like last year!" or "it'll be great!" mood. I'm keeping a very hopeful outlook and que sera - que sera for weather.
I was getting worried, Weather Network was saying rain for Saturday morning yesterday, but now they are just saying cloudy, 30% chance of rain 22 to 24 all weekend, will feel like 30 on Sunday.
the very first year of WEBC Toronto, on the Friday there were hurricane warnings, the wind was blowing and the rain was horrible...on Sat morning we woke up to a beautiful blue sky. The same thing happened the second year. the third & fourth year were beautiful. and the fifth and sixth were cold and rainy.
so...you never know what you're going to get weather wise, so be prepared, and don't stress about it, because there really isn't anything you can do about it, except be prepared.
what I can tell you is that regardless of the weather...we are all in for an incredible life changing experience. This is my 7th year walking, and each year brings a new spirit and lots of different emotions. So whether this is your first year walking, your seventh, or somewhere in between....this will be a weekend you will always cherish, and remember.
We CAN and WILL so something to END BREAST CANCER!!
I remember the hurricane! I was crewing that year and one of my jobs was to help put the tableclothes on the dining tent tables. We had a great time wrestling those things into place in the blustery breeze and trying to clip them down before they took off across the camp. The weather is what the weather will be, and we will walk anyway, and, since we are all walking together, how can it be anything but FANTASTIC!!
