Weather

Oh No!  I just checked the weather forecast and they are now calling for showers for the weekend. This can't be right.  Let's hope this will change by Friday.  Keep your fingers crossed. Only 6 more sleeps to go.

I just came on to post the same thing!!!  Sat looks okay - 1mm will be fine and just cool us down!!!  But 5-10mm on Sunday will be miserable!  Good thing the long range forcasts are rarely accurate!!

I felt sure there would be a ban on umbrellas this year, since they were so treacherous on the route last year on Sunday. When I called the weekend office to ask about it, I was told this was not something they were of aware of, or that had been discussed.

Dodging umbrellas while walking was not a good experience. We were all tired & I'm sure some of the people that were carryng umbrellas were not even aware of the problems that the umbrellas created.

Jane, like you, I also hated the umbrellas that were out last year. I understand the weather was horrible, and I understand we were all soaked but the umbrellas were a real pain in the a$$ to walk around... and really, most people didn't have a whole lot of consideration to those of us without umbrellas !
I first hope that it doesn't rain this year and if it does, I hope people wear ponchos and not umbrellas!!

:)

I bought 2 of Randy's poncho's. The last thing I want to do is carry an umbrella..ugh. Ponchos make far more sense and they keep you much drier than an umbrella would anyway.

I didn't see anyone with umbrella's around me last year, but yeah, that would be a real pain to try to walk around people weilding one of those! lol..... Trying to dodge getting hit. I always just wear and poncho, and hope for the best (and that my face doesn't turn pink from my semi-permanent hair dye) lol.

Wanna hear something funny.
Last year, at the last minute I wrote my name on my white shirt with a SHARPE. After a day of rain, I had my name BRANDED on my bare chest  - yes, it transfered onto my body.
It took a good 4 days before it washed away !!

hahahahaha
