Cheering Station Map

Hi everyone. I have produced a Google Map of the Cheering Station locations for the weekend.  Feel free to share the link as you see fit.

Thanks! That's great! My parents are down there every year driving around the whole day (in their red jeep in case you see them), so I'll pass your link on to them as well.

Thank you. Awesome job. Now at least I know where we are camping as Downsview Park is a very large area. Good luck on the walk all of you.

Thanks for the link! Only 10 more sleeps to go! I've got my sleepng bag aired out, my foot is feeling much better (plantar faciitis) and I'm getting excited. 5 WTEBC, 3 walks, and it is still a thrill. Hope everyone else is feeling it too.

I am not camping out overnight. It is too big of an expense for me to buy a sleeping bag, air mattress, etc. Nobody I know has none of this equipment. I was considering going home but wondering if the hotel near the park is available for walkers that night. I vaguely remember way back in Mar. this hotel being mentioned in something but cannot find it now. Is anybody else staying at the hotel, the MonteCassino(sp)? Does anybody know how much the room would be? T

I am worried about going home and not being able to get back into the camp in the morning.  Thank you.

Lucina,
The MonteCassino is fully booked for Saturday night. A couple of us are staying at the Travellodge on Norfinch. The price was under $100 after tax I believe. I booked about a week ago, so I can't say if they still have rooms. There's also The Comfort Inn on Norfinch. It'll only be about a 10 min cab ride I think.

Thank you. About same distance from home. Can save myself some money that way, since I had to make up the difference in donations from my pocket.

Hi Lucina,

I booked a room yesterday at the Comfort Inn on Norfinch Dr.  I managed to get a room with two beds (for my sister and I ) and the room is 79.99 a night.  Great deal!!

I was just cleaning out my email and came across the cheering stations email from last year - they are the same spots, thus we're walking the same route :)
