I'm not a morning person AT ALL, but I agree, that even though it meant getting my butt out of bed earlier, I really enjoy being out there while it's still dark, and enjoying the sun rise during the ceremony.

I figured it had to do with the online check in, they are expecting some people not to get it done correctly.

It is to allow people who need to register in the morning enough time - it was the same for the Ride to Conquer Cancer this year as well. The extra hour sleep was nice, but I would personally choose to head out early....and finish early!!

I also am one of those people who like the early morning start - early start means *hopefully* an early finish haha

I didn't notice the change in time either. I love the early morning start, it's one of the best parts of the day! Oh well. Lots of changes this year.
