Walking Shoes

Hi,

I'm just about to start some intense training, but I need to get some new shoes! Does anyone have suggestions for good training shoes? Where to get them and the cost would also be helpful.

Thanks!
Corinne

Go to the Running Room for an assessment. They will have you try on a lot of different shoes and then you can choose the ones that are best for you. I prefer New Balance or Asics myself, but my hubby prefers Mizuno. It all depends on your foot.

Don't forget to pick up good socks while you're there.

Happy walking :)

It all depends on how you walk. That's why I like the Running Room because they have you take your shoes off and watch your feet while you walk.

Click on the link below for some information from the Running Room about buying the right shoes. Your best bet is to go to stores like the Running Room, Runner's Haven, etc. They'll check out how you walk and find a shoe that best fits you... and yes, it'll be at least a size bigger than you think!

I'm with Nicole on the sock thing too. The staff can help you out with that too.

Cheers!
