WALKING BUDDY IN BRAMPTON

Hi everyone

This is my first year walking and am very excited about the experience.
If there is anyone in the Brampton area that wants to share some training walks with me ..that would be great.
Best wishes to everyone giving of their time to this worthy cause.

Hi Aaron,

I live in Brampton. There's usually quite a few walkers in Brampton. I'm a complete wimp and don't get out walking until the weather is nicer (usually May, sometimes June) :)

There will probably be a training walk once a week that starts at hwy 10 and Vodden. It goes along the Etobicoke Creek trail, up to Loafters Lake and back. It'll be on a week night and starts at 7pm. I haven't seen it posted yet, but usually Collette does it. Collette has walked and crewed at the WEBC. I'm sure if she's not doing it this year, that someone will set it up (or a group of us can just meet there once a week).

I can let you know once I see it posted, as it'll probably start before I'm ready to. :) I try to make it out for that every week, but a lot of my training is leaving straight from my house. The Running Room had a 10km route that leaves practically right from my house. This way I don't have to try to be somewhere by a certain time.

I'll chat with you more closer to May and see if you found anyone else to train with, or if you want to join my husband and I on some walks. :) I'm sure either way we'll meet up and do some walks together! :)

I am also looking for someone to do training walks with. Tuesday doesn't work for me right now, which is when the othergroup meets for the walks.  Any other night or even on the weekend is great for me. I am near Main/Steeles area.

Send me an email at harvey_cl@hotmail.com if you would like to get out and start walking :)
