Ashley: The photos marked 'Opening Ceremonies' are team pics too. I didn't see ours there - we were 6 - 7pm too, so I don't know what time they were from. I guess they will be sorted out soon. I'm just glad to see them after so long. Sheila
Yah there seems to be a couple of problems to be sorted out (From what I remember from last night) there are a couple of options that are showing the same pictures.
So, now we wait... again. haha
Oh yah, even though my team photo isn't available, it is showing on the actual page (at the top). So that's fun :)
I finally just got registered on here today! I still need to do my signature and check out all the fun stuff to play around with. I quickly put on the avatar which is the photo of me that Ashley took during the opening ceremonies.
I'm so glad that the photos are up. I was actually going to tell you Ashley that I saw you and your team on the slide show at the top of the page. My husband and I are going to make a couple of drinks and scan through all the photos tonight. :)
And you now, in the 3 years I've walked, I've never known where to go for team photos!!! I would have liked to have had a team photo in 2007 as there were 5 of us, with pink capes with the photos of our friend Nancy that passed away. I guess it doesn't matter that much, since we did have our own photos of us all.....

OOOPs, my supervisor just came to talk to me while I was on here.... I noticed my Avatar didn't come up. I think I'll have to check it out once I'm at work by myself at 5pm tonight. :)

Started to try to look at the photos, but the slideshow keeps freezing up. And when I do get it to run again, it times out on me. Just a tad frustrating.
Noreen, I do love your hair (fantastic). I actually did see a shot of you while watching some of the pics.
Susan, I think your almost there. If my memory serves me right I think you have to make 6 posts to become a "member".
Have fun everyone browsing through the photos. I am desperately trying to find me in there somewhere. I think I am going to do something outrageous next year, in hopes that they will snap a shot of me.
Have a good weekend everyone, I am going to attempt to clean out my garage this weekend so I can hold a garage sale next weekend. All proceeds to the WEBC2009, my first fundraising attempt. Wish me luck....if you saw my garage you would know why I need the luck!!!
Noreen!! Welcome. I was starting to wonder where you were!!
Your avatar is working ! I love that photo.. I don't know if you've been through the photos yet, but there are a couple of you .. and one of you and your husband.
Thanks Camilla, I have a lot of fun doing up my hair. :)
Thanks for posting where the two pics of Dave and I were. We made some drinks and sat down Friday night to look through all the pictures, and geez, did it take forever!! We kept getting booted off!!! We were up until at least 2am and only got through day one, so it was great that you let me know where we were on day two! The one with Dave and I was when my Dad was taking a picture of us, so now we have it at two different angles...... There's a funny one of Dave and I on Day 1 route 4 picture 108. It's when we're arriving to camp. I look like a complete nut..... Gotta love those walking shots..... ha ha
I know we saw you in at least 1 picture during day 1 Ashley, but I hadn't written it down. I'm sure you've seen it though. :)

Oh, and Camilla, wearing something crazy definitely doesn't get them to notice you and take photos. Last year we had a team of 5 ladies. I did the same hair last year, and all 3 of us were wearing pink capes that we made, with our friend Nancy's pictures on it. We completely stood out. The only photo that we were in on the website, was just the photo that they take from up top of those stairs, that they take of everyone walking by. We just happened to walk by at the right time. I was really surprised, because we were all crazy with out clothing and hair, and still didn't get noticed for photos!!! This year, the picture of my hair on day 1 was only taken because my husband Dave turned me around to show the guy my hair, which he then rushed over to take a picture.
I'm suprised to see that the crazier outfits out there, don't seem to get many photos of them!
BUT, it's so much fun to get all dressed up. I actually just bought a crazy really poufy pink skirt today for next year. :) I'm really excited. ha ha

Yah it took me many different attempts to look through them all. It was fun though. I actually felt more emotion looking through other people's photos on facebook than the professional ones, weird. But either way, I am glad we have those as well.
Noreen, I agree with you about not always getting your picture taken (when if you have crazy 'costumes'). I think you are right though, you basically have to be at the right spot at the right time. I know a couple of times, I actually asked to have my photo taken with my team - that might be a little tip ;)
I gave up trying to look at the photos....on my computer they start off okay in slideshow mode, then slow down, then come to a stop - actually bring down my wireless internet connection....very strange.
Noreen...this was my sixth time walking, and I still did not notice where team pictures were being taken on Day Zero. They need a sign up there in blazing lights to wake me up.
The only year I saw pictures of me was our walk in Vancouver, at opening ceremonies. Otherwise the only way I could ever prove that I walked from the pictures it by catching a glimpse of my yellow backpack in the distance here and there.
But it is fun looking through at the different people and outfits....many of which I didn't see as a walker.
The photos were taken just past the entrance to the safety video, in the main hall. They have been in the same location each of the six years I have walked. We were surprised this time that there was not a long line up, but unlike other years we only had one photo taken, so I guess it moved quickly. The one photo was OK, as you can see, but we would have liked some other poses.
Okay has anyone managed to save the photos off the slide show? When I right click and "save photo" .. once I look at it in my files, it doesn't show up. Am I supposed to save them as a different image type?
I opened a Shutterfly account, added the pics I wanted to my album in there and copied them onto my computer. That was time consuming, but it worked for a couple of pics.
At first I thought I wasn't going to be able to save them, because "save picture as" wasn't clickable. I ended up clicking on "save background as" I think it was. They saved to my hard drive just fine that way. I haven't looked to see if they saved as a jpg or bitmap (since backgrounds/wallpaper are usually bitmaps), but I can easily change it if it's not a jpg.
Hopefully one of the ways above will help you. :)
