Just to let you know these message boards are not entirely secure.
Messages can be viewed by anyone as a "Guest" although they cannot post.
This means if you use a public computer where the history is not deleted on closing anyone using that computer subsequently can visit the boards. Anyone who visits the Facebook Weekend to End Breast Cancer Groups - whether friend or fo - will also have access to the message boards.
So if you don't want anyone and everyone seeing your personal information you should send it via the private messaging facility.
Also, unlike the other message boards it does not automatically log you out after a few minutes of inactivity. So if you do NOT log out and don't close the window someone else can sneak in as you and access your account info. So make sure if you're using a public computer you log out afterwards.
That being said the message boards are great! And thanks to Kim for putting them up. If you could make them so you have to log in to view messages that would make them even better. Thanks
I Agree, considering Canada's privacy laws, there should at least be a notice when you sign up that your posts can be viewed by anyone, The look and feel is similar to the old boards, but in reality it isn't much different from facebook, anyone can register - you don't have to be registered for the walk.
Well, I'm really happy with this message board, as I'm able to sneak on during work (and at lunch time). I can't get access to Facebook from work, and find I don't get on it as often as I like when I get home.
I think if you want to display something that's private, you can just send a private message. And anyone who hasn't actually been given the link to this page, probably won't just happen past it anyways.
